Overview
The DigiIP Series USB 2.0 High Speed over IP Host (Local) Device enables robust and flexible USBconnectivity over standard IP networks, delivering full USB 2.0 High Speed performance withIsochronous data support. Designed for host-side deployment, it provides a reliable interfacebetween a local host computer and remote USB clients across the network.
With support for fully routable USB 2.0, the device allows any connected client to be routed to anyhost device, supporting up to seven concurrent clients per host. Its host switching capabilitymakes it particularly well suited for BYOM environments, conference rooms, classrooms, and sharedcollaboration spaces where multiple users need seamless access to USB peripherals such as cameras, audio devices, and touch interfaces.
The device connects to the host computer via a standard USB-B interface and is powered directly fromthe host, simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter. By leveraging proven Icron USBextension technology, it ensures stable, low-latency USB communication even for time-sensitiveapplications.
Deployment options are highly flexible. The USB over IP system can operate as a standalone USB-onlyswitching, extension, and routing solution, or it can share the same network as DigiIP 5000 or 5100series systems. In both scenarios, configuration and management are handled through a single5000/5100 series Arranger controller. Please note that USB signals from this device cannot be routedto the USB ports built into 5000/5100 series products.
For more integrated system designs, the device can also be deployed within a DigiIP 6000 seriesenvironment. In these applications, USB signals can be routed directly to compatible DigiIP 6000series AV over IP devices that feature built-in Icron USB technology, with all configuration andmanagement handled through the 6000 series Arranger software. This makes the DigiIP Series USB 2.0High Speed over IP Host Device a versatile and scalable solution for professional AV and IT USBconnectivity.
