The Intelix Series USB3.2 Gen 1 Extender Host is designed to solve a common AV/IT challenge: gettingreliable, high-speed USB connectivity from a local computer to peripherals located far beyond the standardUSB cable length limits. As the host-side (local) endpoint in an HDBaseT-based extension system, it enablesyou to keep computers, codecs, and other source equipment secured in a rack or equipment room whiledelivering USB access at the remote location when paired with a compatible Intelix client extender.

Built for professional deployments, the host unit uses a USB-B host connection for increased stability and amore secure physical interface—particularly beneficial in permanent installations where accidentaldisconnections can disrupt meetings or classes. With support for USB 3.2 Gen 1 bandwidth up to 5Gbps, thesystem is well suited for modern collaboration and control peripherals such as USB cameras, audio devices,touch controllers, and storage, while remaining backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices formaximum interoperability across legacy and new equipment.

For real-time USB device use cases, the extender supports common USB transfer modes includingisochronous (frequently used by audio/video peripherals) and bulk transfer for dependable data movement.When deployed with recommended structured cabling—U/FTP Cat6A or better—the system supportsextension distances up to 100 meters, simplifying large-room, campus, and enterprise designs.
