Product Overview

The Intelix Series USB3.2 Gen 1 Extender Host Wall Plate is designed for clean, professional installationsthat require high-speed USB connectivity at the wall while keeping the host computer and supportingequipment centralized and secure. As the host-side (local) endpoint in an HDBaseT-based USB extensionsystem, this wall plate is ideal for podiums, teaching walls, conference room credenzas, and other locationswhere a neat, flush-mounted USB interface is preferred over tabletop hardware.

By using HDBaseT transport over structured cabling, the host wall plate enables USB extension well beyondstandard USB cable length limitations when paired with a compatible Intelix client extender. The port layoutsupports both legacy and modern devices: a secure USB-B host connection helps reduce accidentaldisconnects in permanent installs, while dual USB-A client ports provide convenient connectivity for commonperipherals. With USB 3.2 Gen 1 performance up to 5Gbps and backwards compatibility with USB 2.0/1.1,the system supports a wide range of devices—such as keyboards, mice, touch interfaces, USB cameras, audio peripherals, and storage—making it a flexible option for collaboration and AV control environments.

For integration and operational flexibility, the extender supports key USB transfer modes includingisochronous and bulk transfer, which are commonly required for real-time audio/video peripherals andreliable data movement. RS-232 passthrough supports control and automation workflows, and bidirectional24V Power over Cable (PoC) can help reduce the need for local power depending on the system design. With included USB-C-to-B and USB-A-to-B 2-meter cables, deployment is streamlined for hosts that useeither USB-C or USB-A connections. TAA compliance further supports standardized procurement forregulated and institutional environments.
