AVPro MXnet 1G Decoder
MXnet 1G Decoder
Features
- 1G Maximum Data Rate
- SFP Fiber Connection for Long Runs
- Built-In “Data Window” OLED Display
- RS-232 and IR Direct Routing Endpoint
- Encapsulated RS-232 over IP Serial Passthrough
Description
The MXnet Decoder/Receiver is the endpoint where AV signals are delivered and converted back into full-quality HDMI video and audio. Designed for seamless integration within the MXnet AV-over-IP ecosystem, the AC-MXNET-1G-D connects to displays and decodes multicast packetized AV streams from an MXnet Encoder through an MXnet Switch (AC-MXNET-SW48) or any multicast-capable managed L3 switch via CAT5e+ or fiber optic cabling.
Supporting visually lossless JPEG 2000 decoding, the AC-MXNET-1G-D processes 4K 4:2:0 30Hz video, audio, control, and power with near-zero latency. It serves as a critical component within the MXnet ecosystem, which includes encoders, switches, control processors, and MXnet Mentor software—offering scaling, EDID management, video wall configuration, and simplified setup for integrators.
Key Benefits
- JPEG 2000: Ideal for high-quality applications, JPEG 2000 supports both lossy and lossless compression, progressive decoding, 10-bit color, and GENLOCK synchronization for seamless video walls. Its wavelet-based compression ensures excellent detail retention even at reduced bandwidth.
- Data Window: A front-mounted mini OLED screen displays real-time device data such as IP address, MAC address, and user-defined custom names (up to 12 characters). This greatly simplifies installation and troubleshooting.
- Full External Light Control: To maintain a clean aesthetic in theaters or dark environments, all indicator LEDs—including link lights and the OLED display—can be disabled for discreet operation.
- Control Signal Routing: RS-232 and IR signals can be routed directly to the AC-MXNET-1G-D, allowing precise device control through the network. Integrators can specify which encoder sends commands to the decoder.
- USB and KVM Support: Two USB ports allow connection of peripherals such as keyboards, mice, webcams, or USB hubs. USB signals can be routed back to the encoder via MXnet Mentor—ideal for KVM or remote workstation applications.
- Netgear Support: MXnet engineers collaborated with Netgear to ensure compatibility with their managed switches. Netgear’s pre-configured "AVPro Edge Profile" provides seamless integration and optimal performance with MXnet devices.
