Description

The AC-MXNET-1G-DV2 represents the next generation of the MXnet AV-over-IP ecosystem from AVPro Edge. As an Evolution II decoding device, it incorporates a newly engineered AVPro Edge ASIC featuring an enhanced software-based encoding/decoding engine for superior video processing performance. The updated IC adds full support for 4K/60fps 4:4:4 signals (RGB and YCbCr at 10‑bit and 12‑bit), as well as expanded audio format handling including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for IMAX Enhanced content.

Fully compatible with MXnet first‑generation features, the AC-MXNET-1G-DV2 can coexist in mixed systems but must be paired with EVO II encoders for decoding. As a destination endpoint within the MXnet ecosystem, the decoder receives multicast packetized video via category cabling (Cat 6A recommended) or fiber from an AC-MXNET-1G-EV2 encoder. Signals encoded with JPEG 2000—ranging from 200 Mbps for 1080p to 850 Mbps for 4K/60—are decoded with precision, producing smooth, artifact‑free video with accurate dynamic metadata.

The decoder supports unlimited video walls, up to 64 panels per wall, in standard or mosaic configurations. Frame-syncing Genlock ensures uniform timing across displays with near‑zero latency. A fanless, thermally efficient design helps maintain long-term reliability, typically consuming 7 watts or less during operation.

• 4K/60fps Support: First‑generation MXnet units could not decode 4K/60 4:4:4 RGB or YCbCr at 10‑ or 12‑bit. The new EVO II decoder supports these formats with minimal, ultra‑light compression—even for Dolby Vision and HDR10+—ensuring visually lossless output.
• High Bitrate Multi‑Channel Audio: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced audio formats are fully supported, providing compatibility with premium home cinema and commercial installations.
• Data Status Window: A built‑in front OLED screen provides device naming (up to 12 characters), IP/MAC info, and real‑time diagnostics for setup and troubleshooting.
• Control Signal Routing: The decoder accepts IR and RS‑232 commands packaged by MXnet Mentor and sent via multicast from an AC-MXNET-1G-EV2 encoder. I-PASS and IR-EYE ports allow seamless integration with third‑party control systems.
• USB and KVM Support: With two USB ports (expandable via hub), the decoder supports bi-directional USB routing for webcams, keyboards, and other USB peripherals. MXnet Mentor allows assignment of USB devices to specific encoders.
